Oleg Proshlyakov, a Litigation and Bankruptcy Attorney, spoke during a session focused on estate bankruptcy.

In his presentation, he addressed the relationship between marital debt and other creditor claims, highlighting current law enforcement practices and the challenges faced by lawyers and their clients.

The panel of speakers included leading practitioners from the major national law firms, heads of legal departments, arbitration managers, and legal scholars. Participants discussed current issues related to estate bankruptcy across various categories of debtors.

Additionally, both speakers and forum participants explored the topic of locating foreign assets of debtors in the context of current Russian realities.

"Estate bankruptcy is a new, and, therefore, under-explored legal phenomenon in Russia. We believe that, in long term, it will provide creditors with a better opportunity to satisfy their claims. Collective discussion and the ability to share our experiences contributes not only to the development of this institution but also to helping creditors in the future," noted Oleg Proshlyakov.
